Itinerary
  • Day 1: Bangkok - Arrival:
    Upon arrive in Bangkok you will meet VBT's guide at airport. Transfer to hotel by private air conditioned car and check in at hotel. Overnight in Bangkok.
  • Day 2: Bangkok - Damnosaduk Floating Market - Elephant Ground Zoo (B, L, D):
    Breakfast at hotel. Driver to Maeklong area and see the Train market in morning. After that visit to Sampham Elephant Ground and Mini Zoo for interesting Elephant Theme Show, Crocodile Wrestling Show and Magic Show, etc. Buffet Lunch inside the Erawan Restaurant. Evening transfer back to Bangkok and dinner at Silom village with Thai Cultural Show. Back to hotel and relax. Overnight at Bangkok.
  • Day 3: Bangkok Palace & Temples Tour (B, L, D):
    Breakfast at hotel. Visit to the Royal Palace and Emerald Buddha - the Landmark of Thailand.Visit to Wat Pho Temple and Wat Trimit the Golden Buddha Temple. Lunch at Local Buffet Restaurant. And take the shopping leisure time at Asia Tique Night Bazaar (River Front). Dinner at Local Restaurant. Transfer back to hotel. Overnight at Bangkok.
  • Day 4: Bangkok - Siem Reap - Angkor Temples (B, L):
    After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Siem Reap (K6 707 - 11:10 - 12:20). Upon arrival at the airport, drive to the hotel to check in. In the afternoon, transfer to the archaeological site and continue to the temple tour. Visit Ta Prum, one of the most beautiful temples in the area. Ta Prum has been left relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery, then visit Takeo. Overnight in Siem Reap.
  • Day 5: Siem Reap - Angkor Temples (B, L):
    After an enjoy sunrise time at Angkor Wat in early morning, then start the tour to South Gate of Angkor Thom, then go to Angkor Thom (the temple) which was built by Angkor’s greatest king, Jayavarman VII. The major attraction of Angkor Thom is the Bayon, whose exact function and symbolism is still unknown until now. Then we go to Baphoun, which is one of the most spectacular of Angkor’s temples in its heyday; to Terrace of the Elephants that was used as a giant reviewing stand for public ceremonies and served as a base for the king’s grand audience hall; to Terrace of the Leper King, another of Angkor’s mysteries. In the afternoon, we visit the World Seventh Wonder -better known as Angkor Wat- that stands as the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. Angkor wat stretch over some 400 sq. km, including forested area, Angkor Archaeological Park contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire. Overnight in Siem Reap.
  • Day 6: Siem Reap - Phnom Penh (B, L):
    Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Phnom Penh (K6 100 – 08:40 – 09:25). Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Phnom Penh. Then go on a short city tour to see the National Museum, Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. Then take a pleasant stroll along the bank of the Mekong River and the Independence Monument. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
  • Day 7: Phnom Penh - Chau Doc (B, L):
    Breakfast at the hotel. Leave hotel at 07:30, visit Cheung Ek to see the "Killing Fields" and Toul Sleng prison. Then transfer to the boat pier for boarding the Hang Chau boat to Chau Doc at 13:00. Arrive at Chau Doc around 17:00. Pick up and transfer to your chosen hotel. Overnight in Chau Doc.
  • Day 8: Chau Doc - Can Tho (B, L, D):
    08:00 Pick you up at the hotel in Chau Doc and transfer to Can Tho. 12:00 - 12:30 Boarding Le Cochinchine boat. Enjoy welcome drink. Transfer on a local boat to explore the CaiRang market one of the most bustling floating markets in Mekong. We go for a walk through the palm-shaded creek to see local houses and green orchards. Le Cochinchine continues its cruise to Tra On. Lunch served on board. Leisurely cruise down the Mekong while enjoying the beautiful scenery. Visits of the fruit farm and walks amongst pleasant villages on the footpaths of the countryside. Opportunity to meet with local people. Boarding back at with an aperitif while enjoying the magnificent sunset on the Mangthit canal and Nicola river. Dinner and overnight on board.
  • Day 9: Tra On - Cai Be - Ho Chi Minh City (B):
    Breakfast on boat in the morning. Visit the fruit farm and walks amongst the lush vegetation through verdant villages and meet with local people. Le Cochinchine continues its cruise toward Cai Be. Transfer to a local boat for an extensive visit of Cai Be: the floating market, local pop-rice and sweets production. Visit of colonial buildings, old houses, delightful flower gardens and local coconut candy and rice paper manufacturers. Boarding back at noon, with a welcome-back drink. 11:00 Disembark in Cai Be. Pick you up and transfer to hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
  • Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City Tour (B, L):
    At 08:30 am, you will be a picked up from your hotel. In the morning we visit: The Reunification Palace: This is one of the most important buildings in the city; War Remnants Museum: Formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes; Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office: Built between 1877 and 1883 this is one of the best examples of classical French colonial architecture. After lunch at local restaurant we continue to visit: Giac Lam Pagoda: This is Ho Chi Minh City's oldest pagoda, dating back to 1744 and one of the finest in Vietnam; Cholon, including the Thien Hau Pagoda: Cholon actually means Big Market - a claim that is well justified as Vietnam 's largest market, the Binh Tay, is located here; Ben Thanh Market: This bustling and well-organized market is very popular with tourists, primarily due to its central location. It has a wide selection of goods ranging from fake Nike shoes to beautiful silk Ao Dais. Back to hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
  • Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels - Da Nang - Hoi An (B, L):
    08:00: Pick you up at hotel. Transfer to the Cu Chi Tunnels (75 km from downtown). Visit Cu Chi tunnels with watching documentary film, witness hand-made weapon gallery (gun, land mine, bamboo traps…), crawl into the real tunnels… Back to Ho Chi Minh City. Have lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for the short flight to Da Nang (VN 1320: 15:30 - 16:40). On arrival, you will be met at the airport for transfer to your hotel in Hoi An and then the evening is free. Overnight in Hoi An.
  • Day 12 - 13: Hoi An (B):
    Free at leisure to relax at the beach or make your own exploration to the town for shopping. Overnight at hotel in Hoi An.
  • Day 14: Hoi An - Da Nang - Hanoi (B):
    In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for the short flight to Hanoi (VN 1516: 14:15 - 15:25). On arrival, you will be met at the airport for transfer to your hotel in Hanoi and then the evening is free. Overnight in Hanoi.
  • Day 15: Hanoi city tour - Lao Cai (B, L):
    You are met at 08:30 am in the hotel lobby. There is a morning and afternoon schedule, as well as an organised lunch. Morning you visit: Ho Chi Minh Complex including the Mausoleum, his former stilt-house residence, the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh Museum; The Temple of Literature - Vietnam’s first university dating back to 1070; A local Vietnamese lunch. Afternoon you visit: A traditional performance of the famous Vietnamese water puppets; Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake - the Ngoc Son Temple is set on a tiny island on Hoan Kiem Lake, its history dating back to the 13th century; A one-hour cyclo tour through the narrow, chaotic streets of the Old Quarter - a must for any visitor to Hanoi!. 20:00 Transfer you to the station to catch the night train soft sleeper with AC to Lao Cai station. Overnight on the train.
  • Day 16: Lao Cai - Sapa - Cat Cat - Lao Chai - Ta Van (B, L):
    Arrive in Lao Cai, pick up at Lao Cai station then transfer to Sapa. In the morning, we will discover Sapa town with Ham Rong mountain. After lunch trek to Cat Cat villages. Enjoy the waterfall in Cat Cat and beautiful scenery along the way. In the afternoon, Trek down to Lao Chai village to visit the Tay and Dzay tribes then keep going along the bottom of the Sapa valley to get to Ta Van village, which is supposed to be the most beautiful one in the area. Back to hotel. Overnight in Sapa.
  • Day 17: Sapa - Lung Khau Nhin Market - Lao Cai (B, L):
    You will be met up at your hotel in Sapa by local guide and driver then transferred to Muong Khuong. You will enjoy beautiful scenery along the road. Upon arriving in Muong Khuong, we will take another road which goes up in mountains. Pine trees forests and villages surround the tinny market. Flower Hmong, Tu Di, Tay and Giay ethnic minorities come to buy and sell local products such as food and material for agriculture and fabric. After exploring the market, we can have the opportunity to make a short walk to a Black Dao village. We then head back to Muong Khuong where your lunch will be provided in a local restaurant. After lunch, you get on the car for journey back to Lao Cai for the night train back to Hanoi. Overnight on train.
  • Day 18: Hanoi - Halong Bay on Emotion cruise (B, L, D):
    05:00 Arrive in Hanoi. Walk to Mango hotel (118 Le Duan street - next to the gate of rail station A) for breakfast and relax.
    07:30 Take a 3-hour scenic drive from Hanoi to Halong Bay
    12:00 - 12:30 Arrive in Tuan Chau Tourist Wharf. Transfer to Halong Emotion Boat by tender
    12:30 Welcome cocktail on the boat and check in to your private cabin.
    13:15 - 14:15 Buffet lunch is served on board, during cruising toward Halong bay.
    14:45 Arrive in Surprise cave, explore the Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Halong bay.
    16:00 Stop Titop beach for available activities as: See view on sundeck, relaxing in restaurant; Kayaking & Swimming; Take an overview of Halong City from Titop peak; Or requested activities such as: Massage service (you make contact with tour guide or reception).
    17:30 Stop in row of Ho Dong Tien area (near Drum Cave) for overnight.
    19:30 Have set dinner with seafood provided by Ba Hang fishing village.
    21:00 - 24:00 Freely enjoying the beauty of Halong at night, join us with one of the optional activities: Enjoy chatting at Bar; Enjoy night fishing; Relax and spend a romantic night on Emotion Cruise.
  • Day 19: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Luang Prabang (R):
    06:30 Practice Tai Chi on the Sundeck.
    07:00 - 07:30 Start your day with a light breakfast. During breakfast, cruising to explore other part of Halong Bay, admire the beauty of one in seven new wonder in the world.
    07:45 Cooking class by chef cook of the Emotion Boat on the sundeck.
    08:30 - 09:30 Pass through Pearl Village and visit Ba Hang fishing village,
    09:40 Check out and take all luggage outside of your cabin, cruise back to the Tourist Wharf through Halong bay.
    10:00 Have brunch and clear bills.
    11:30 Back to the Tourist Wharf.
    12:00 Transfer to the airport for the flight to Luang Prabang (VN 2905: 18:50 - 19:50).
    Overnight in Luang Prabang.
  • Day 20: Luang Prabang City Tour (B, L):
    Visit Vat Visoun, the site of an impressive stupa, That Makmo, stylistically more Srilankalese than Lao. Then walk to the nearby Vat Aham, which is one of the city’s major tutelary shrines. Climb Vat Phousi hill for an outstanding view over the city. Continue to visit Vat Sene and Vat Xieng Thong, considered as the most beautiful temple. Next, drive to visit Ban Phanom, a weaving village populated by Thai Lu. After lunch at Un Petit Nid Restaurant, visit the National Museum (former King’s Palace) displaying a collection of personal artifacts of the Royal Family. Then stroll through the lively Central Market where the ethnic minorities of the surroundings come daily to trade their goods. Drive to Ban Xang Khong village to see how traditional Sa paper is made. View the sunset from the banks of the Mekong River. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
  • Day 21: Luang Prabang - Pakou (B, L):
    After breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with it’s roofs sweeping low to the ground, representing classical Laotian architecture. We then board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which gives us a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. En route, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where local rice wine is produced. We also have time to visit Ban Xangkhong and Ban Xienglek, small villages well known for silk weavings and for Saa (jute) Papermaking. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
  • Day 22: Luang Prabang - Khoang Si Waterfalls (B, L):
    An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the procession. From there you will visit the morning Phosi Market where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. Laos is also known for its traditional handicrafts, and today you will visit local village of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay and Ban Thapene. We also drive to the beautiful Khoang Si Waterfall where you can take a dip in the turquoise pools or walk along the forest paths. We return to Luang Prabang by late afternoon and continue to Ban Phanom, a well-known weaving village, and then return to the city by late evening for the sunset at Wat Siphouthabath. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
  • Day 23: Luang Prabang - Bangkok - Departure (B):
    Free and easy until transferred to the airport for the flight to Bangkok (QV 633: 07:30 - 09:15). Ends of services.
